Professional profile

Molecular biologist (Ph.D.) with a passion for data science. I have 18+ years of experience in the biotech and biopharma sectors, where I have gained extensive expertise in data analysis, genetic engineering, and high-throughput screenings (which includes the analysis of relatively large datasets). With an analytical mindset and skilled in R and Python, I have hands-on experience in analysing complex data and turning it into clear insights.

Additionally, I have developed strong data visualisation and communication skills, tailoring my message to diverse audiences. Furthermore, I thrive working in multidisciplinary teams and dynamic environments, enjoying the challenge of breaking down complex problems, planning next steps, experimental design, and making data-driven decisions.

Currently on a career break to further develop my data analytics skills and spend quality time with my family, I am now looking for opportunities that align with my interest in using data to develop practical solutions for real-world problems. With a curious mind, I love learning new skills and taking on new challenges that help me grow both professionally and personally.

Me

My former colleagues define me as an outgoing person with good sense of humour, flexible, and with great interpersonal skills. I am curious, with passion for learning new things, and always with an optimistic view of life.

In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, dancing (I love Cuban salsa), playing chess, going for a bike ride, running, swimming, and watching sports in general.
